My Teaching Experience

I offer lessons in clarinet and saxophone as well as composition and music theory. I teach from my studio in Manchester, shown on the map below.

 

A graduate of the Royal Northern College of Music, I have taught at Yorkshire Young Musicians, RNCM Junior School, Aldeburgh Young Musicians and The National Youth Orchestra as well as various schools and colleges around Manchester. I also have years of experience working privately with students from a wide range of abilities and ages.

I am a member of the Incorporated Society of Musicians (ISM) and am an ISM Registered Private Teacher having agreed to adhere to the ISM Safeguarding & Child Protection Policy, Code of Practice and Procedures and obtained an enhanced DBS check. I am also on the DBS Update Service.

Our Lessons

I tailor my approach to suit individual needs and goals, whether you want to work towards graded exams or just play for fun. As an experienced teacher, I've been lucky enough to work with some of the best musicians in the country which informs and enriches my approach to learning.

• If you don't have an instrument yet, I can recommend affordable loan schemes or advise on your first purchase! 

• I teach from my studio in Manchester (which you can find on the map below) but I can offer lessons online if you prefer.

• Lessons are £35 per hour. I can also offer 30 and 45 minute lessons at £20 and £28 respectively.
